El Paso Advocates for Prevention Coalition
The Prevention Resource Center Region 10 (PRC 10) is partnering with the El Paso Advocates for Prevention Coalition (EPAPC) to combat the issue of substance use and misuse in our communities. Initially, the PRC 10 started a task force solely to fight against prescription drugs but has since merged into the EPAPC to address the use and misuse of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs in our community. Together, in partnership with coalition members we address the issues that impact our community through environmental strategies.
Our Goals:
- To prevent and reduce substance use and misuse
- To create community awareness regarding the health consequences of substance use and misuse
- To increase citizen participation and commitment among all sectors of the community towards reducing substance use and misuse
